Re-opening and asymptomatic testing for supplementary school staff
We’ve had a lot of people asking about asymptomatic testing for supplementary schools and I will post the DfE’s answer with links below. Please do get in touch with Anne-Marie if you are struggling to access LFTs, she’s very approachable and replies promptly. But of course she can only deliver the guidance that the government provides.
Re: asymptomatic testing for supplementary schools
‘This is something we’ve been discussing with the central testing team within DfE for the past few weeks. For supplementary schools operating off a school site, the best route for now is likely to be community testing programmes. We have produced and shared guidance for LAs to help them provide a more accessible offer for out-of-school settings. However, if staff in supplementary schools are having trouble accessing these programmes, please do feed that back to us so we can try to work through any comms/ logistical issues with the testing team.’
