The National Resource Centre for Supplementary Education (NRCSE) was established in 2006. It is the only specialist support body for supplementary schools and the agencies working with them.

The NRCSE provides training, advice and a national Quality Framework to ensure that supplementary schools meet minimum standards, with basic policies and procedures in place which best protect and support children, to date 445 schools have obtained a Quality Framework award, many going on to higher award levels demonstrating excellence in teaching and learning. We have received funding from John Lyon’s Charity and Esmée Fairbairn Foundation to expand delivery of the Quality Framework and are recruiting for two new positions within the Quality Development Team.National Quality Assurance Manager

The Caraf Centre’s Mandela Supplementary School is fully committed to the welfare and development of children, particularly those from disadvantaged or marginalised ethnic groups. We are currently seeking teachers for our Tuesday evening classes 5.30-7.30 pm.
The successful applicants will work with children aged 11 to 16 years old. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly after school setting based in London Borough of Camden. A strong educational background and a very positive outlook are essential requirements to motivate students studying up to GCSE level.
Qualified teacher rate: £23.50 per hour
Non-qualified teacher rate: £17.00 per hour

THE CARAF CENTRE – EDUCATION ADVOCACY OFFICER
35 hours per week, £28,845 – £33,583 p.a.The CarAf Centre, established in 1980, is a community based learning & educational support charity, delivering a number of services which include a supplementary school & a nursery. The Centre is recognised for its high standards of service provision, receiving a “Good” rating in its last nursery OFSTED inspection and recently receiving the Gold Quality Framework Award for its supplementary school service.
The CarAf Centre is looking for an experienced Education Advocacy Officer to run the Advocacy Service at the Centre. The post is funded through a service delivery contract with the London Borough of Camden, initially, to run until 30th May 2017, with a likelihood of renewal thereafter.

You will be trained to engage and communicate with school and family groups and develop practical experience supporting school sessions. Your role will include:
- Welcoming students to the session
- Supporting the delivery of the outreach visits, inspired by the museum collections
- Setting up and/or packing away materials for the visit
- Travelling with the museum facilitator to and from the supplementary school
Previous experience is not essential as full training is provided.
