Quotes from members

The Teaching Skills in Supplementary Schools course was the best course I’ve done in the UK. The trainer was very experienced in the field and worked lots with ethnic minorities. I wish I had done this course before doing my Masters degree, it would have been very helpful to do my coursework and assignments in the proper way. After completing the course I started teaching maths in a Saturday School as part of the John Lyon’s Charity Project to support under achieving students in mainstream schools. As a result, most of the students have exceeded their targets.

What Supplementary Schools tell about us

It’s useful to share experiences with other mentors so as to learn about as wide a range of supplementary schools as possible. Mentor training, recognition meetings and celebrations provide an opportunity to do this.
