London Community Foundation
have just announced some new funding streams for community groups in the capital.
For supplementary schools not in London, look up your local Community Foundation, they will manage similar grants for your area, http://ukcommunityfoundations.org/
Comic Relief Local Communities Programme
This programme aims to empower local people, enabling them to create lasting change in their communities. Projects should be run by local people directly affected by the issues that are dealing with and priority will be given to small, locally-based groups and organisations in areas of disadvantage that have a clear understanding of the needs of their community. All London boroughs except City, Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets, can apply for funding to:
- increase local services,
- build skills of local people,
- increase community cohesion
- respond to local economic needs
Closing date 5pm, Friday 2nd December 2013
Deptford Challenge Trust – Strategic grants
To improve the quality of life for people who live and work in Deptford. Proposed activities must benefit residents within the DCT area. The trustees encourage applications from projects promoting networking and partnership.
Grants between £5,000 and £30,000 per year available.
Closing date: 5pm Friday 13th December 2013
Westminster Small Grants
This year Westminster City Council will offer grants of up to £5,000 for projects which foster great community cohesion and improve inter-community relationships.

Redbridge Small Grants Fund
Two types of grants are available to community groups and voluntary organisations based in and working in Redbridge:
Development grants – to enable a group to develop its activities or build capacity to make itself more sustainable (this could include investment in training, fundraising and development of fundraising skills)
New projects – to help start small scale, innovative projects (this could include revenue and capital costs, administration and other expenses)
Grants between £250 and £5,000. However, the average grant is likely to be around £2,000 to enable us to fund as many projects as possible.
Closing date: 5pm, 1 November 2013, 5pm 7 February 2014
