This has been a very busy few weeks with lots of running about the country for NRCSE staff but we love it. Visiting supplementary school classes and talking to staff, pupils, parents and MC members, delivering our 3-Day Good Management course, supporting community teachers to develop their skills, working with our wonderful pro bono Educational Experts from the statutory sector to quality assure supplementary schools and of course – presenting certificates!
Thanks to our main funder, John Lyon’s Charity, we have some fundraising support this summer and winter. We’re really working away to get more staff and widen our reach. With four p/t staff and a small team of consultants we can do a lot. With four more staff we could do so much more.
We’ll be recruiting a new intern (paid LLW) in September to join our Quality Development Advisers in reaching out and supporting the wonderful people running supplementary educational provision for children.
