Developing Teaching Skills for Supplementary Schools and other out-of-school settings

October 28, 2020 By nrcadminse Leave a Comment

Over 200 community teachers have taken one of our 5 or 6 week online training courses since May 2020. We knew there was a need for us to move our Teaching Skills training online when 104 teachers signed up to our webinars with Joe Dale (MFL Tech wizard) within three days of bookings going live. If you missed the chance or want to remind yourself how useful the webinars were you can watch them here.

Funding from the Coronavirus Community Support Fund, distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund, has helped us to to do this and continues to enable us to offer this training at no additional fee. Thanks to the Government for making this possible.

We will be starting new cohorts of the Remote Teaching and Digital Skills course on 16th November. Make sure you have a valid subscription with NRCSE. Log in and go to My Account to book your place.

We are preparing to launch our Supporting Children with Special Educational Needs in Supplementary Schools online course next week, 10th November.

Last face-to-face cohort of community teachers taking the course at Westway Trust in February 2020

What Supplementary Schools tell about us

We commissioned NRC to develop a business plan, a training programme and to carry out consultations with service users of one of our subsidary organisation. Claire Arthur provided us excellent service in a professional manner and also helped us to raise £175,000 funding. I would recomend her both on professional and personal level to anyone who is considering to work with her.
