Quality assurance Twilight session
Tuesday 23 February, 5.30pm – 7.30pm, Resource for London
Twilight session is for all those interested in obtaining a Quality Framework Award, including the Bronze Management File and the online self-assessment tool.
Cost: FREE session but please book to confirm your place
Quality Framework Mentor Training – Day 1
Wednesday 24 February, 9.45am – 3.30pm
This prepares people to become supplementary school mentors for the Bronze level of the Quality Framework. To ensure the Quality Framework remains free of charge at Bronze level and low cost at higher levels, mentors are not generally paid for this work. The role is, therefore, most suitable for those who are employed within statutory or voluntary sector agencies to support community initiatives and/or educational attainment.
Cost: £75 per person (no discount for mentor training)
Safeguarding for Supplementary Schools course
Friday 4 March, 9.45am – 3.30pm
On 1 December 2012, the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) was formed from a merger between the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA). This course provides practical tools and knowledge about safeguarding, including how to access child protection training locally and how to use the Safe Network standards.
Cost: £105 per person (£55 for NRCSE members)
Development and management of supplementary schools
Thursday 10 March, 9.45am – 3.00pm
Including an introduction to quality assurance an essential course for all those setting up a supplementary school or other form of out-of-school hours provision for children.

Emergency First Aid
Tuesday 15 March, 9.30-4.30
Every supplementary school must have a trained first aider. Many of you have a staff member (paid or volunteer) who has trained as part of their main job and that is fine. For others you have have been able to access training through your local authority, excellent. So this course is for those schools that don’t yet have anyone.
Cost: £105 per person (£75 for NRCSE members)
Quality Framework Mentor Training – Day 2
Tuesday 5 April, 9.45am – 3.00pm
Mentors who have completed Day 1 and mentored a supplementary school to Bronze level can attend this course. It will enable them to support schools through the higher levels of the Quality Framework. Upon successful completion of both mentor training days and moderation of support to Silver or Gold level, mentors can apply to join NRCSE’s list of recommended Quality Framework mentors.
Cost: £75 per person (no discount for mentor training)
Supplementary Schools and SEN
Date to be confirmed, 9.45 am – 3.30 pm, Resource for London
The course is primarily designed for teachers and teaching assistants who need to support children with learning or behavioural difficulties/disabilities.
Cost: £105 per person (£55 for NRCSE members)
