The Museum of London has received funding for a new project to engage supplementary schools.
Some of you may have replied to the request in February to give them some ideas on how the programme might work, they also attended the Four boroughs partnership event on 24 February to talk about the project.
The Museum is now advertising for a Programme Manager, and they have asked us to help them find the perfect candidate. This may be just the job for you!
As the leading museum for London, we tell the story of the world’s greatest city and its people – so why not make this the place to discover your story of London?
Are you looking for a rewarding job that would make the most of your skills in working with schools and communities? This is an exciting opportunity to join our award-winning Learning team in this new role.
You will establish and manage a programme of cross-curricular activities and resources inspired by London’s history for supplementary schools across the city. The programme will include outreach sessions in the schools, events for the pupils’ families at our museums, and teacher training.
You will have experience of developing and delivering learning activities for schools, ideally in a museum or arts setting, with a successful track record in working with community groups/organisations. You will have outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills, and the flexibility to work weekends and evenings as the programme requires.
