A new SafeNetwork Multi-faith Safeguarding Hub has been launched.
The Multi-faith Safeguarding Hub is part of the SafeNetwork website (www.safenetwork.org.uk) and aims to provide those working in and with the six major faith communities (Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Jewish and Buddhist) with information, materials and networking opportunities in their activities to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
The Hub features:
• Film of personal statements and activities from people within the specific faith community
• Stories and texts that are consistent with a safeguarding message
• Case Scenarios
• Examples of good practice
• Information, resources and events
• Specialist organisations and useful links
• There is also an interfaith section to for resources appropriate for multiple faith communities
Click on the hub logo above to access. We will continue to add and improve the hub, so if there are any appropriate resources, information and links that anyone knows of please do let Shirley Maginley at NSPCC know.
The Safenetwork pages offer access to a wide range of training resources and opportunities. You can also get in touch with your local safeguarding children board (search for [your local authority] LSCB for contact details) to attend child protection training.
If you would like NRCSE to come and do a specific training on safeguarding in supplementary schools with your staff, volunteers and management committee take a look at our training pages.
