This covers Effective Teaching Skills, Practical Teaching Skills, Maintaining a Safe Environment and Teaching in Islamic Supplementary Schools or Supporting Children with SEND in Supplementary Schools. It can be taught over 12-13 weeks if 3.5-4hr sessions
The cost for this would be £4,907 for 6-11 learners (each learner above the 11 would be charged extra @£73.50 for the course books and accreditation fee).
Through our partnership with Strengthening Faith Institutions SFI; 87 teachers in Birmingham, Derby, Leicester, Hounslow and Sutton Coldfield took the course in 2017/18 and 100 teachers from across the Midlands are in the middle of the course this year.
92 teachers from the following Islington and Camden Islamic supplementary schools took the course in Islington in 2016/17 and 2017/18 as part of the Minority Matters comprehensive Muslim community engagement programme and gave excellent feedback. A further 30 teachers from these organisations and others in Hackney are completing the course with Minority Matters this year.

The next step from the Level 2 Award is to deepen your knowledge and skills and obtain the Level 3 Certificate in Teaching in the Supplementary Education Sector.
