Management course – starting up – autumn term 2019

Due to popular demand we are offering individual days of our Good Management Course at Resource for London

This course is for all Supplementary Schools, Out-of-School-Settings, private tuition centres, etc.  teaching core curriculum subjects and/or language and/or faith and culture.

The course will be held on  27th October from 10 am to 4 pm.

We will be looking at how to set up a supplementary school from scratch.

The course will also help you to start preparing a School Management Pack consisting of
• A Welcome Pack for Parents
• Staff and Volunteer Handbook
• Management Committee Guide
• Safeguarding Policies and Procedures for all

Once your school is up and running, your Good Management Pack will help you meet your local authority’s Section 11 requirements and the Department for Education Code of Practice for Out-of-school Settings. It can also be your first step towards quality assurance and an NRCSE Quality Mark.  All schools completing a Good Management Pack following the course will be eligible to receive a quality assurance visit to confirm that they are meeting best practice guidelines. We may have to charge travel expenses but otherwise the cost of visit will be included in your course fee.

The single day courses cost £140 per school/setting (or £75 if you are an NRCSE subscriber or quality assured members wanting to refresh their management documents). To get the maximum benefit from this course your school should consider attending all three days. If you are not a member and you book all three days together you get a discount and, even better, you can send two people for the same price!
