Still time to enter your students for home/heritage language GCSEs and A levels

February 27, 2021 By nrcadminse Leave a Comment

The NRCSE has established a Community Languages Examination Centre CLEx in partnership with the Turkish Language, Culture and Education Consortium, the British Council/QFI Arabic Language and Culture Programme and Pearson Edexcel.

CLEx will run for a trial period to enable young people who are learning Arabic, Turkish or other home/heritage languages in supplementary school or other out-of-school setting to receive a grade this summer even though exams have been cancelled.

Entry deadline is fast approaching! Ask your students to complete this registration form by 8th March latest and we will be in touch with them to confirm entry.

We will evaluate the success of the centre after July 2021 and consider the future. It remains our firm belief that young people should be entered for their home/heritage languages by their mainstream schools. We can not accept, however, that so many young people were denied entry in 2020 and are again finding it difficult to enter this summer.

For this reason we have established CLEx.
