As a supplementary school/OOSS manager, you will be given an opportunity to join 2 online workshops by Martin Russell, Senior Professional Advisor at UNICEF UK. The workshops will focus on:

  • Learn about the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child
  • Explore why rights are important
  • Understand the potential impact of adopting a child rights based approach to your work

WORKSHOP TWO: APPLYING A CHILD RIGHTS APPROACH IN SUPPLEMENTARY SCHOOL SETTINGS

You will:

  • Consider how your existing work with children links to their rights
  • Look at ways of linking your management and polices to the Convention
  • Share ideas for teaching and learning about rights in your setting
  • Receive and have time to explore a ‘Toolkit’ to help you with the above
