On 9th July 2015, a series of special meetings were organised for Barnet Primary School Heads.
The prospective candidates to run the Council’s education services presented their bid for the Heads. Brilliant at using any opportunity to publicise the good work of Barnet supplementary schools, the BSSF (Barnet Supplementary Schools Forum) got to work.
With the excellent co-operation from John Paxton, Narrowing the Gap Adviser of Barnet’s Education and Skills Service, supplementary schools organised stalls in the main hall where the day long meetings took place.
School Heads visited the stalls at break times and chatted with representatives of around 9 supplementary schools as well as our NRCSE representative, Ertanch Hidayettin. There was a good deal of interest in the work of supplementary schools. Both John Paxton and Mahin Sadigh, the Chair of BSSF pledged to continue to work in partnership with Barnet schools.
