On Thursday 7th July 2022, we had a fantastic update session with supplementary schools, starting with a warm welcome from our CEO Justin Watson. This was followed by a great information about Code Club coming to our member supplementary schools. We then presented our exciting upcoming JLC funded programmes starting from September 2022.
Summary of the highlights:
- Starting Code Club at your supplementary school.
- Quality Mark Award (experienced mentors will be allocated for settings that are ready to complete their QM)
- Creative Teaching and Learning Project includes TWO programmes:
- Onsite training at your setting for all teaching staff with Patrice Baldwin She is the director of Drama for Learning and Creativity (D4LC)
- TWO Creative Workshops with Artis Specialists Artis (artisfoundation.org.uk). Their mission is to transform lives through the arts by creating magical, high quality learning opportunities to help children flourish. (This will happen once per term )
- YPF staff will receive training on Children’s Rights and will provide training for supplementary schools in their local borough.
All programmes are funded by the John Lyon’s Charity (JLC) and will be FREE for all supplementary schools in JLC areas: Barnet, Brent, Camden, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Kensington & Chelsea, and Westminster.
NRCSE members at JLC areas can access these free trainings (Please contact nikita@nrcse.org.uk if you need help subscribing or renewing your membership)
