Developing Learning Resources for Museum Visits – training day for Supplementary School teachers and volunteers,
Sunday 7th December, 10-4pm (lunch provided) FREE!
Do you run or teach in a supplementary or community school? Would you like to bring your students to a museum or gallery but don’t know where to start?
The British Museum is a free cultural venue in Camden, open to everyone. We are currently offering 15 FREE places to attend a training session at the museum.
- • Find out how you can help your students to explore the British Museum.
- • Learn to create and trial your own learning resources to use when you bring your students to the British Museum.
- • Come away from the session with a complete learning resource tailored to your students, curriculum and learning aims as well as inspiration for many more resources so that you can visit the Museum again and again.
- • Meet colleagues from other supplementary schools to share ideas.
This training is suitable for teachers or volunteers that have not visited the museum before or would like more support in developing learning resources to use in the museum but we also encourage teachers who have developed their own resources for the museum to come along too and share their knowledge and ideas about successful resources they have used with their students.
Please let me know if you would like to attend this training session by Monday 24th November and then I will confirm your place and send over the booking instructions. Please be advised that training places are allocated on a first come first served basis and in order to give as many schools the opportunity of attending we limit places to a maximum of 2 teachers per school.
