Supplementary schools and families activity weekend at the Museum of London
On Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 November over 700 people from 36 supplementary schools in London took part in a special activity weekend at the Museum of London.
The event offered lots of free activities including steel pan performances, storytelling sessions, drop-in art activities and spoken word workshops all exploring how Londoners from prehistoric times to present day have shaped the city we know today. Seven supplementary schools also performed at the event as well, sharing traditional music, dance and stories.
It opened the children’s eyes to the common history we all have

The activities are inclusive, interesting and well put together. It is a great resource for supplementary schools and we are lucky it is free.

Lots more museum offers here and we post new ones as they come in so let us know.
We’d love to have more offers outside London – tell us about any arts and heritage events in your neck of the woods so we can share.
