Quality Assurance and Training Manager
Esmee Fairbairn Foundation have awarded NRCSE funding for three years to support the delivery of the Quality Framework for Supplementary Schools with a particular focus initially on developing a new mentoring project in Liverpool and Luton.
We are looking for an exceptional person to take on the role of Quality assurance and training manager
Salary: £36,000-£38,000 pro rata
Contract: part-time post 4 days (30 hours) per week.
Location: The post holder will be home-based.
The work will require flexible hours, outside of usual office hours and occasional weekend working. Travel to both project areas and London will also be required.
The principle goals are to manage the national scheme and extend support to supplementary schools within the project areas in order that they can obtain the Bronze Award level of the Quality Framework for Supplementary Schools and move up to the appropriate higher level of this dedicated quality assurance scheme for supplementary education. The post holder will also be expected to forge strong working and learning relations between the supplementary schools involved in the project, relevant voluntary sector umbrella organisations, mainstream schools and Children’s Services in the three areas.
This will require you to:
- Work closely with the existing NRCSE staff in London and officers in the local CVS and Children Services whose work includes supporting community development, school improvement, ethnic minority achievement.
- Identify willing and committed volunteers from teaching and wider educational backgrounds to act as quality assurance mentors to supplementary schools within the project area;
- Train and support mentors and moderate their Bronze Quality Framework recommendations.
You will provide a basic support and coordination service to supplementary schools in the three project areas including:
- brokering relationships between volunteer mentors and supplementary schools;
- providing advocacy and contributing toward existing initiatives supporting supplementary schools within each area.
