Webinar on supporting centre assessments

Ofqual announce calculated grades can be submitted for ALL students registered for summer 2020 examination. 

This must be done through the examination centre where they are registered. The Head of Centre will need to submit a centre assessment grade (CAG) to the exam board for such students. They must include them in the centre’s overall rank order for each subject. Centres that had entered students in year 10 for exams this summer will be able to retain those entries. 

Supporting centre assessments

Examination boards have confirmed: If the school [examination centre] making the entry has access to relevant evidence e.g. from a supplementary school or Saturday school and is happy to authenticate the evidence that is available from that source, then the school can award a centre assessment grade.

Nuriye Mertcan (Chair of the Turkish Culture, Language and Education Consortium) and Parvaneh Delavari (Exam officer at Rustam Approved Examination Centre) will explain how you can support students who attend supplementary schools. We will cover what evidence you can prepare to support them to have a CAG through their mainstream schools or other examination centre.
