Teaching in Islamic Supplementary Schools

This course builds on the popular Teaching Skills in Supplementary Schools course.

It is designed with a seminar format and delivered by Farooq Mulla. It can be offered before or after the Teaching Skills course, or on its own. On completion of the course learners will have gained an understanding of:

• – the development of Islamic education in Britain;
• – the teaching methodologies adopted by the Qur’an and the Prophets;
• – the roles and responsibilities of teachers within an Islamic teaching environment;
• – how Islamic education contributes to a child’s life and educational progress;
• – how to evaluate one’s own teaching methods.
