Quality assurance for supplementary schools
Full day training session at Resource for London to update supplementary school management committee members, staff and volunteers on safeguarding procedures and essentials of child protection.
Course overview: Supplementary Schools are constantly striving to provide excellent services to children and young people. Providing a safe environment for both children and adults is extremely important and goes way beyond having a Child Protection Policy. This training will go through various aspects which need to be considered to ensure safeguarding is implemented throughout your organisation. This one day course does not replace the Child Protection Level 1 course but should be seen as an essential addition for any supplementary school to consider the wider aspects of safeguarding.
Course Summary: This course will give you practical tools and knowledge on safeguarding and how to implement them within your school.
Learning Outcomes: At the end of the course you will have a clear understanding of safeguarding, including current legislation, and how to develop and implement a safeguarding policy for your organisation, covering areas such as: risk assessment, safer working and recruitment, codes of conduct and child protection.
