Remote course – Supporting children with SEND in out-of-school settings

November 13, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Tutorial group – cohort 1b

This remote course lasts 5 weeks and leads to a certificate from the National Resource Centre for Supplementary Education.

Topics are as follows:

  1. Understanding special educational needs and disabilities
  2. Inclusive teaching and learning
  3. Class management
  4. Rights and legislation

Each week you will do some preparation at home (watch videos, read texts, make notes about your own practice), meet up online for a Zoom tutorial for the whole group, and write a short assessment task, which you upload to Google Classroom. Your tutor marks it and sends you comments using Google Classroom. You will have a week after the final tutorial to complete your written assessment tasks, and if necessary, have an individual tutorial.

Thanks to funding from the Government’s Coronavirus Community Support Fund, distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund we are able to offer our remote course at no additional fee.

To access the course your supplementary school must be a paid up subscriber to NRCSE.
