Quality assurance for supplementary schools
We have now prepared an online version of this course, using Google Classroom and Zoom. 70 teachers from Brent and Bradford out-of-school settings have completed it over since May 2020 and their feedback has been very positive:
‘Even in the current circumstances where the training had to be adapted for online lessons in such a short period of time, it was very well designed and covered all the necessary information’
‘All the information provided in the course was extremely useful and can be used at our school. The lesson plan model lesson was very effective and easy to use. All the information about specifics roles at supplementary school were very important and clearly given’
‘I found all aspects of the training very useful. The separate rooms in groups gave us a chance to discuss different ideas and strategies. We were able to discuss the video observations and compare ideas. The various hand-outs and PowerPoint slides were comprehensive and clear and I could compare my skills to the information provided.’
The course will last 6 weeks, and will lead to a certificate from the National Resource Centre for Supplementary Education.
