Development & management of supplementary schools

This workshop offers practical tools and advice on how to start up and develop a supplementary school.

It is an ideal course on which to send a new or prospective member of your management committee. Discounted price for NRCSE members.

You will learn what are the legal requirements to open additional educational provision for children (between the ages of 4 and 17) attending mainstream schools during the week, and what is best practice. This knowledge will help you in planning and decision making for future developments. As such this course is also an excellent ‘update’ session for small supplementary schools that are expanding to meet demand.

The course will also cover the requirements of the Bronze Quality Framework Management File, a nationally recognised tool to quality assure your service delivery.

Learning Outcomes: At the end of the course you will have the knowledge and tools to help the management of your supplementary school, support your staff and volunteers and develop the learning environment.
