Group leaders, trustees, volunteers, teachers,  & parent / teacher assistants will all be welcomed.

• Safeguarding Policy. Draft a new child protection policy for your group – essential to ensure children and young people in your care are safe. What is Safeguarding. Background to Safeguarding. Role of Designated Child Protection Officer / Responsible person. What is child abuse, how do we recognise it, what do we need to do? How do we make policies and procedures real?

• Internet Safety. Understanding vulnerability to violent extremism and extreme violence.

• Health & Safety. Checklists and off-site procedures

• BBC Children In Need. Update on programmes and top tips on completing a successful application.

• A light lunch will be provided between 12.30-1pm. This will provide an opportunity to meet and exchange ideas and share experiences with other community groups and supplementary schools working with young people.
