Quality assurance for supplementary schools
Dear Supplementary Schools,
I hope you’re well and looking forward to well-deserved Summer holidays.
I would be delighted if your students, teachers and volunteers could join us for an exclusive Community Preview of Scythians, warriors of ancient Siberia exhibition at the British Museum on Sunday 10th September 2017.
This major exhibition explores the story of the Scythians – nomadic tribes and masters of mounted warfare, who flourished between 900 and 200 BC. Their encounters with the Greeks, Assyrians and Persians were written into history but for centuries all trace of their culture was lost – buried beneath the ice. You can find out more about the exhibition here scythians exhibition
To book your free tickets* please email aross@britishmuseum.org before Thursday 31st August stating:
· Name of your school
· Number of tickets required
· Preferred entry time to exhibition between 10.30 – 16.00
· Postal address for tickets
* Tickets to this preview are limited and are distributed on a first-come first-served basis.
If you’re planning any days out for your school over the summer holiday period or enrichment activities, please contact Alice Ruby Ross who can welcome your school to the museum, suggest galleries to visit and help plan activities in advance of your trip.
If you are interested in outreach visits from The British Museum from September, please contact Alice, who can organise a trip to visit your school with objects from the Museum’s handling collection. Alice will also be organising teachers training around a learning resource created specifically for supplementary schools visiting museums and the opportunity for your schools to come and use the resource
Please let me know if you have any questions or would like more information.
Best wishes,
Alice Ruby Ross
