YPF Trust | centre for Supplementary Education
Quality assurance for supplementary schools
Behaviour management: Their best behaviour: This session will look at why it is key to encourage positive behaviour in your classroom, and give practical tips and strategies to encourage good behaviour traits in your student
Assessment for Learning: Positive beginnings and positive endings: how can you capture your student’s interest from the beginning, and ensure that they’ve taken something away from your class at the end? This session will give practical tips for starters and plenaries that will make your classes even more memorable and meaningful for students, and highlight the importance of formative and summative assessment
Both training sessions will be led by Alisha Kanabar (previously with the Into University Supplementary Schools project) in partnership with the museum, and will involve a combination of theory and practice, demonstrating how these important concepts can be adopted in classroom and museum learning settings.
If you would like to book a place on either or both of these training days please contact Emma Taylor, Supplementary Schools programme manager etaylor@museumoflondon.org.uk 020 7814 5579 by Friday 9 March. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Please note that a maximum of three teachers per school can attend each training.
If you have any questions please let us know.
