Supplementary Schools and Families activity weekend

Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 March 2016

12:00-16:00

Dear Community Partner,

Your supplementary school is invited to a free activity weekend on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 March at the Museum of London Docklands.

Explore inventions that have shaped London through time; from everyday inventions to scientific advances inspired by countries around the world. Marvel at the wonders of science, get experimental and create your own inventions!

(Activities suitable for children aged 6+)

To book your free tickets email etaylor@museumoflondon.org.uk before Monday 8^th February 2016, stating:

• the name of your supplementary school
• the number of tickets required
• your preferred date of visit – either Saturday 5 or Sunday 6
• your preferred arrival time (activities start at 12:00 but you can arrive from 11:00)
• delivery address for tickets

Tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Therefore to allow as many schools as possible to take part in the activities, please only request the amount of tickets that you think you will realistically be able to fill.

Please also let us know if your group has any particular language or access requirements that should be taken into consideration in order to plan your visit as we need any requests in advance.

FREE Teacher training Day- Museum of London Docklands

Sunday 7 February 2016, 11:00-16:00

• Need support in planning your visit to the Designing London Activity Weekend?
• Never been to Museum of London Docklands before?
• Need inspiration for simple, interactive activities you can lead with your students?

Throughout the day you will have the opportunity to visit a number of galleries in the museum, take part in range of hands-on object based learning activities and learn about the practicalities of planning visits to the museum.
