Quality Framework Award Revalidation
Quality Framework Awards given between September 2010 and March 2013 were valid for three years, and can be renewed for another two years after a review.
Supplementary schools do not need to prepare a new portfolio or attend another recognition meeting unless there have been many changes, or they want to aim for a higher award.
The review will be done with a registered Quality Framework mentor acting as critical friend to the supplementary school. For Silver and Gold revalidation the mentor must be a senior mentor with experience of working at the appropriate level.
It will be based on
- Guided self-assessment (via the NRCSE website online self-assessment tool)
- A document check, (from September 2013 this can be done by completing the online self-assessment and uploading all relevant files for scrutiny by the NRCSE Quality Development Advice Team) and
- A visit from a registered Quality Framework mentor to supplementary school in session
